Sam Bankman Fried was Sentenced to Possibly a Too Light Sentence, 25 Years

Sam Bankman Fried was sentenced to 25 years in prison for his wrongs surrounding the crypto brokerage called FTX. Bankman Fried was found to have harmed his clients, stealing their money, and thus the reason for this harsh sentence. But, some people think that the sentence was not harsh enough. In fact, some people feel that this was merely a slap on the wrist. How could someone who is responsible for billions of dollars going missing, get a sentence, which he will probably serve half of, which will leave him only a middle aged man when he exits prison. Some of the people who lost money, including Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady, may not be so happy about this soft sentence.

The judge did admit that Bankman Fried was evasive when he was on the stand. Also, he is ordered to pay $11 billion dollars in fines. Sam is only 32 right now, meaning that he will probably get out of jail in his 40's.

No doubt, his parents are breathing somewhat a sigh of relief. Bankman Fried could have easily received a sentence of 100 years. Lord only knows that half the prison population is serving longer for a dime bag of weed they possessed 20 years ago. Such is our system.
